Especially when I unleashed ALL the bad karma before 2009 ended

Anyways, I started NYE in camp
(like where else can I be right?)
And ended up in Sembawang to sing K with The Gang
It's MAX cheap
Like cheapcheapcheap~~~ that birdie-kind-of-cheap you know?

Ok. For this entry, I was thinking about what to write
Like maybe summarise the whole of my 2009?
Sounds like a good idea
But.....quite tiring leh

I browsed through some articles and read about this competition
Its to capture the last moment of 2009 in Singapore or something
Sounds really like a good thing!
But I didnt really like go somewhere scenic or what
So I just took this as my presentation......

I was thinking like seriously what to type
So I just click here and there
And found that I have compiled a Word document
Starting from 2007 to this current year

This document contain like what happened in my life
In a monthly basis

It's basically the highlights of my years
Something meaningful to me personally

=)

So I had to figure out if 2009 was actually better than 2007/08
And yes the document increased in length over the previous years
From age 18 till the current incoming 21st

Ah!
18 was supposed to be the most IN thing then
So 2007 I travelled to India for YEP
Got my Class 2B license
And drank my 1st alcoholic drink in a pub
Hahaha!
I also realised I went to Taiwan then! Not in 2008!!!
Shiok!
Went overseas for 2 times in a year

So moving on to 2008
At the age of 19, I created this blog!
Hello bloggie, you are like 1 year++ old!!!
I also got my class 3 then
And yes my Class 2A like superduperfast too
Caught the 1st ever F1 in Spore and was part of SG history!!!
Tore my right leg ligament
And that felt like the end of the world ....... ='(
The recovery process was slow and very very painful
It was a very dark period then
Haiz....

2008 I also ended my last sem in Ngee Ann
And of course started working at Exxon
It was a very big transition phrase
Working close to 1 year there till 2009 like seriously
And yes of course got called up for NS medical then
But the worst thing that happened in 2008
Definitely.....was the passing of my dear grandmother
It was like a part of my heart that was torn apart
And never will ever heal forver
Haiz....
Somehow the good will always be accompanied with the bad

And I ended off 2008 with the great Xmas party at Debs
And a countdown at Marina to welcome in 2009
Crazy idea which I will never do again so soon

The 1st best thing that happened of course was the BIRTHDAY!!!
When you work and you have income
YOU SURE KNOW HOW TO SPEND YOUR MONEY
LOL!

Exxon times was aka FRIDAY NIGHTS OUT time every week
Super unhealthy but superduperfun!

And yes 2009 the best bday present has to be the concert tix to....

That was the sweetest thing to happen in 2009 Jan
:)

2009 I also got intro to cycling by my shifu Henry in Exxon

So many things I learnt from him in terms of work and life and sports
And 2009 I got my new digi cam in the form of Canon Ixus 95
Luckily never gotten the more ex one that time
Phew

So as the year wore on
I started my B&W series
Got a place in NTU and NUS Chemical Engineering
(still proud of it!)
Graduated (like finally) from Ngee Ann with a good record
:)

Also went to Perth with MK, Adrian and Edmund
It was a very very crazy trip
For the driving part that is
And we can still laugh for hours talking about Cheskerpeak Road
Haha!
Ya, visited Deb over there to see how she was too
Overall Perth was a very good trip
To unwind and let go of everything before entering NS

And soon June-July came
Went to Genting with the Swifters gang too
Imba-ness at the theme park
Still cannot get over the suicide drop machine there
Was gonna pee in my pants and they were still confessing
About the evil sins and how everyone should repent before we drop down
CRAZYNESS~

Oh ya, nearly forgot about the Tioman trip with the gang too
Max FUN
That was easy to sum it up seriously

And the day to shave heads soon came on 090709
July - The 9th - 2009

Enlisted as a RECRUIT (arghhhh!!!) in Tekong

It was a major transformation
Coming from a UG background
I still had some problems adjusting to life in the Army I admit
But honestly, I had some of the best times of my life in BMT
I made some really really good friends there

And yes, on 090909
September - The 9th - 2009
The MOST AWESOME DATE in 2009
I POP (not the cherry but the parade!) from BMT
It was a very......dono-how-to-say feeling
Like high on drugs like that
Hic~

And the really good friends I made all went to SISPEC together
And yes SISPEC was Hotel Coy aka everyone's acclaimed H-E-L-L
The darkest period
When I feel myself being pushed to MAX
In terms of mental and physical
But through tough times, those who made it came out stronger

One thing I learnt in Army
Among so many other useful things of course
Is to help each other when the chips are down

If there is no one to take care of you
You are left with your closest friends and buddies
And one thing I took from BMT Jaguar
Is to " Do it once, Do it good "

All of us in Jaguar always stick together through thick and thin
And the tough times sure took its beating on everyone of us
Of course the 2.4km timing and SOC timings drop like potato sacks too
Minus the not-so-pleasant stuff that happened
Overall I think SISPEC was also a very good time overall
And yes we still POP (yes not the cherry) too!

Somehow, from SISPEC to ETI to Combat E now
And yes as a trainee in ETI
The journey is still on-going till 2010 Mar
December came and went too

In 2009
I feel that the ppl in 4e4 otherwise known as The Gang
Which I confirm is Deb's naming for us
Became closer as a group
When meet-ups, celebrations, late night coffee and whatever shit
Especially HTHT and stuff
Drew everyone together
It is a very very very very (times n to the power of infinity) good thing

To know that you have reached the freaky 1/4 of your life
And having these friends that will last
Is comforting indeed
:)

And yes 2009
I made new friends
And lost old ones too
Somehow the more I try, the more we cannot be
The way of the old
Or the Zen way

I realised that
Maybe I have became stagnant already
I lost my punctuality (not virginity as assumed) in 2009
Lost the friends that I would indeed love to keep
But somehow its my character and theirs
When you thought it was like this, but turned out like that
But I definitely have seen a clearer picture in 2009

To speak out for what I want
To not procrastinate anymore
To go out and get back what I want
To confess my feelings
To let known my emotions
Overall, I just mastered to GO AND DO IT
Instead of waiting for it to come to me
When the window of opportunity opens
I will stretch out my hands
And grab it,then pull it close to my chest
Keeping it ALL TO MYSELF

And yes, 2009
I cut off ties with ppl
Cuz I was so damn tired of all the big-hooha shit
If we cannot get along, then so-be-it already
It takes 2 hands to clap
And on a 1-way street
The vehicles can move in 1 direction only
And its eventually straight down to exit to a 2-way major road
So ya, you can get the drift

For 2010, it will be better
I will pursue what I want
Save up money for a holiday
Haha!
Every year go holiday is shiokness
See the world on tour is my ongoing dream
Buy a DSLR
Pray a bike appear from the skies
(the bigger the better definitely)
And the most important thing....

Stay healthy and happy
Exercise more sleep more
Work hard play hard
Spend more time with family and friends
And just basically become a BETTER MAN

So for the Xmas Eve party at Deb's place this year
It started at 11pm
Theme was like pyjamas along the line
And we started with a late countdown
(supposedly Deb just forced us to countdown with her altered time)
Best right?

So after the countdown....````

We had a very very late dinner

There was the oh-shitz-too-much food sign

A very good-looking and tasty mango logcake

And somehow the reindeer fell off halfway

Did I mention this year is a good year for lots of ppl?
Cuz X'mas and New Year is on Friday itself
Plus the eve is a half day
So a lot of ppl got to enjoy their long weekend

So ya X'mas started at Deb's house
Reached home at 2 like tat
Wanted to go watch Avatar 3D at night
But it was postponed to tonight

Heard its the " MOVIE OF THE YEAR "
Well I'm still skeptical about that though
We shall see tonight

And ya X'mas was sleeping till 7+pm
Got up and decided to go for a jog
Ah
Madness must be

LOL!

But anyways I ran with my Mom
Or should I say I finished my run before she got to.....
Buangkok Medical Park aka Mental Hospital

How each event lead to another is very well done

( malaysian bought bo bian.....>.< ) So I had to clean it with my disk cleaning kit And change a DVD player too For that last 10 mins It was worth it How many of you get to see some guy....who got 1 second till he dies

X'mas eve started very badly

I woke up in camp
Yet another rainy midnight
Somehow it just rains every day and every night there

And yes I was awaken by a nightmare
And this nightmare was so vivid
Comes with touch too

I dreamt of all the waterpipes around Singapore exploded
And that means sewage, bascially shit was all over the place
Guess what?
Snakes in the complex waterpipes in SG came flying out too!
Like seriously WTF!

Must be reading the article in the magazine the other time
I think it was the Discovery Channel magazine
And it said something about snakes being found in SG's waterpipes
Like WTF again!

And yes the snakes
Everywhere
Anywhere
Except my block (of course right?)

So I stepped out of the lift
And saw shit and snake everywhere on the grass patch
And quickly rang somewhere
All the while dialing 999 for the Police
And the 999 appeared as "Mom" on my handphone
Yet another WTF moment

Best thing I got out of the phone call
Nobody picked up the 1st time
So I called the 2nd time
The 2nd time I rmb the ringtone

Wielding a knife (butcher-size)
And I sneaked a peek and saw the cage
But this time it contain like 5-6 layers of snake
Like WAT DA FUCK!!!!?

I cannot take it anymore
I knew somehow I was twisting and turning in my bed in reality
But I couldnt wake up
And seriously god should send someone to turn us out
To make me snap out of the freakish hellish nightmare

And yes the Uncle came out
He was fed-up
He shouted something
Walked to the nearest grass patch
Picked up the MEGA-UPSIZED python with one hand
Like one hand I emphasize
And the python is MEGA-UPSIZED too
Never add 50 cents only

So ya, he picked it up
And use the butcher-style knife to slice off the snake head
One clean cut
No blood spilled out
And he threw the snake down onto the floor
He was standing at the elevated platform in the temply btw
And I was standing beside him too

So he picked up 1 more MEGA-SIZED python
Did the freakish same thing
And threw the snake down onto the lower floor (like the ground)
And then he shouted at me to go and kill the snakes around

I looked at the cage full of snakes inside the temple
And FUCKING HELL they were all turning now
Like WAT DA FUCK!!!!
Immediately felt like puking in my sleep

And the bloody Uncle shouted at me and pushed me down
The snakes all around were frozen (like I mentioned)
So why in the blue hell he push me to go do what he did?

And he pushed I refused to budge
But he pushed again
I felt my Nike shoes touch the python he just slayed
And..........WAT THE FUCK!

I jumped up straight on my bed
Realising I just made contact with..........

Talking about this just reminds me of Ms Ng
And I somehow have this vague memory that I didnt wish
her happy birthday this year

Yes, Doraemon is the blue robotic cat from the future

And this is his sister Doraemi

Which I seriously doubt the name

So the 1st qns we debated on

Why Doraemon was BLUE in colour?

I somehow just like this one a lot

Was utterly disappointed at the movie
The 10-years wait was just some directors jumping on the bandwagon
Of creating franchise out of movies that were hugely successful in the 1st place

The good things I can point out?

- The theme song sang by Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng
- Aaron Kwok himself (Mr Fitness!!!)
- Some special effects (now which movies no special effects?)
- The sword scene (无名 using 悲痛莫名against 步警云)
- 绝世好剑 (who dont love the legendary sword?)
- The anticipation built in the 1st scene (only to be horribly destroyed)
- And the movie's only saving grace: Charlene

And that says a lot
It was a full house nonetheless
Nearly couldnt get any tix
But based on a fan who absolutely loves 风云 I
I walked out of the cinema
Thinking I was letdown by such a.....lousy movie sia

And I thought it could bet 2012 to become my favourite movie of the year

A lot of ppl now have their tails clipped between their legs
Meaning they are regretting what they have done

Talking about what they want to do after ORD
Studies?
Work?
What else can you do?
Go holiday then come home shake leg wait for parents feed?

20+ years old still cant even think about your dear old parents
Shame on anyone who still need parents nowadays
Calling home and asking Pops and Mom to clear your shit

Coming back to the future part
A lot of the guys relate back to their studying days
Whereby they bragged about not going to school
Pon here pon there
Tutorials or what no need go
Ask ppl tap card stay at home sleep etc

At the end day
99.99% are regretting it
(a bit exaggerating but.....)
Saying they should have done well in Year 1
Then wouldnt have lousy grades
Cant get into local university or what
Appeal tio reject
Wait for miracles etc
Furthermore a lot of them are capable ppl in the 1st place

Xinmin has always been a "neighbourhood school" too
The reason I chose XMS was becuz it was 10mins walking distance
And I think XMS provided me with plenty of friends that I'm gonna keep for life
For such a wonderful environment to spend my teenage years

Sidenote though
I always though Xinmin grads can do well in the future
But sadly reality has proven me wrong
However I'm still glad that XMS grads (majority) are doing good

And yes back to the studies and results and future issue
And yes Gen Y, We Are

Ppl who do things with reasoning
Ppl who like to enjoy life
Who taste sweetness before bitter
Like to challenge the impossible

Actually I had some plans in mind already
Just weighing out what to do exactly

Been attending others 21st
Most of them are HUGE-ASS
Like major cramped-up chalets, hotel rooms, BBQ etc.
With over 500 ppl attending
(ok 500 is too much....50?)

Hmmm. Yes. And they took 30 mins to get all the group photos
Ok lah. It's convenient in a sense that all the bday boy/girl's
close friends/best friends/boyfriend/girlfriend/relative/granny etc attended
And all the people will happily enjoy themselves
But......for me

Aiya! I think this type not for me leh
If not also have to invite a lot of ppl
And off hand I can name those ranging from pri sch, XMS, NPCC,
polytechnic, NS, family, relatives, basketball friends, and some other
kikikokkok ppl I came to know
Not including their "whatever-that-I-may-not-know" also tagging along
Massive suffocating walking space

No big bungalow for me
No hotel room as budget
No private estate or whatsoever

So ya, the thing is I wont organise such parties
Where ppl booze booze booze
Eat eat eat

Looking Into The Night With The DSLR

Thursday book out from SISPEC already
Not going back there till March
Will be missing so many things there
But alas, have to get out of my comfort zone once again

It was windy and there was clear sky

But Gordon was constantly mumbling about why we had to go there

There got a lot of couples then we all lonely guys

Best solution I offered

Ok! Set! And off we quickly went in

And hell the IR was struck by weird lightnings!!!

Happy 21st Bday to one of my very good friends
Adrian Seow Kian Yong

And hopefully next year the present wont pass back to me
HAHA!
If not next year need to leave the country after my bday already
Or else everyone will chased after me
=/

It was a simple buffet dinner with plenty of Adrian's close friends

And then we had a vehicle convoy to Chomp Chomp

2 bikes plus 2 cars

To enjoy dessert and have some drinks at the RK House

And guess what they did to my bike before we left?

(I was test driving Soon Teck's car btw)

They tied plenty of light sticks and I had to spend 5mins untangling them

With friends like them who need enemies?

And another better thing happened

The bike screwed up when I was supposed to turn out from YCK

Took another 15mins to fix

Haiz

But the trip to Serangoon Gardens was worth it

Cuz I got the joke of the day when we visited Frolicks or Forlicks

Anyways it was the yoghurt shop next to the 7-11

Along the street also had Ice Cube

Plus we were also deciding between 一碗甜品 at the back too

Nevertheless, the joke, or the underlying meaning hidden behind the comment

Goes something along this line

Frolicks/Forlicks was a yoghurt shop which Shang Geok intro

And she mentioned that we would LOVE to go there as becuz

its the opposite of NUM and has the same selling concept

Which means that NUM use muscular ~~(or not so attractive currently)~~ guys to attract customers to purchase products

While Frolicks/Forlicks had pretty girls selling yoghurts

But Adrian the bday boy said it was not worth it

And Shang Geok insisted on buying

So only she and Mel went instead

But being the curious me (or otherwise)

Decided to pop in into the shop too!

I mean check out what's the product right?

Right?

And suddenly 10 of us were in the shop already

Ok the 2 girls are really really cute (only one of them to me)

But the thing was.....they were wearing sleeveless top

In the super-cold-air-blasting aircon room selling frozen yoghurt

Which leads to the best comment of the night

Adrian: “ Wah! 这里 aircon 开不够大是不是? ”

And all the guys just laughed as loud as the comment was made

while on the way out

And the guys didnt buy any yoghurt at all

Been thinking a lot on whether to get a DSLR or not

Its still a want over a need

And furthermore I have been coming up with excuses for myself

On NOT TO GET ONE

But heres the time again whereby I'm attending 21st bday celebrations

And seeing everyone snapping with DSLR

Makes me feel.....jealous?

Yes jealous is a nice word to use

Somehow I do still have this urge to own a DSLR

But situations seemed to be tilting in the favour of getting a bike 1st

With my co-owned Phantom seemingly in ICU unit frequently

Maybe need to bring her to the scrapyard to meet her Maker soon

And buy a new love in the form of Super 4 / GSR

Or even the R6 which Edmund's friend is gonna let go at 12k

But ermmmm, 12k is a bit over the top now
