Man-Made Attractions. HA!

Singapore, host to thousands of multinational corporations, is already a major travel draw because of its reputation for safety, cleanliness and efficiency, as well as
"man-made attractions such as top-end shopping malls."

" MAN-MADE ATTRACTIONS SUCH AS TOP-END SHOPPING MALLS!!! "
" MAN-MADE ATTRACTIONS SUCH AS TOP-END SHOPPING MALLS!!! "
" MAN-MADE ATTRACTIONS SUCH AS TOP-END SHOPPING MALLS!!! "

Oh well. Suck it up if that is Singapore's most unique feature to foreign tourists....

I'm a person who likes to travel at least once a year
And not to Genting or some cock JB eating trip
But to somewhere further and or interesting at least

And I hope in my lifetime
I would at least get to see all the 7 Wonders of the World
Be it man-made or ancient
And be it the latest or what
(why the hell do they keep changing?!)

So when I travel I often wonder what those places would hold
Like I'm planning to go Cambodia to see Angkor Wat
To Thailand Bangkok to walk the night market and etc
Or Japan to see sakura & snow and experience the culture there
Or even India to see the Taj Mahal
Or Spain to Barcelona or Madrid to view the football stadiums etc

Then I suddenly think of Singapore....
In the shoes of a tourist
When you check out Singapore
What do you expect to find?

" Great food....
Laksa, char kway tiao, chicken rice, satay etc....
Unique mixture and blend of different ethnic cultures...
Merlion...
Chinatown...
Little India...
Sentosa... "
And now the CASINO of course!!!

Hey come on
小S ytd on 康熙 said something to those presenting tourist attractions
“ 你讲了那么多
我很像还是没那么想去啊!”

I think thats the same I feel when I place myself in the tourists shoes
But I'm not saying Singapore is a bad place
But we do have our good points
As in the Govt is good
We are living in comfortable housing
Have schools to study in
(albeit very very tough and merciless education system)
And we DO have good food to eat all the time
And yes the whole freaking Orchard belt has been renovated
With some million or billion made-over and stuff
And ION and 313 and Orchard Central have sprung up

However do the aforementioned strong points
Or so-called tourists attractions attract tourists?
Do you FEEL ATTRACTED AT ALL??!

Thats the final question to everyone out there
Do think about it

Think hard on how to improve the tourists attraction
And perhaps you can win yourself a Nobel prize then
And drive Lambor and live in Orchard condo
Live the life of the rich and famous

BUT...
Only if you can do that
And solve the decreasing visitors rate
With the constraints of limited land spaces
And minimum natural surroundings to contemplate with
And only if you have a piece of paper call "degree"
With " HOSPITALITY " or " TOURISM " printed on it

If ultimately you do not have the paper
With the god's sent words on it of course
Then you still can get the Italian job done
Then confirm guarantee chop stamp plus refund
You will drive not only a Lambor
But a Bugatti Veyron at least
:)

Why do I have a sick feeling I'm typing this becuz
I haven been to the casino or the Universal studio yet?
And the other reason must be I'm not doing a good job
in applying for the scholarships

All in all...
I have another sick feeling this
procrastination of applying for scholarships
Is gonna cost me dear this year

And yes maybe its the fcuking hard bump on my forehead against the bedframe last night when the pillow slipped while I slammed my forehead down onto the "supposedly position" of the cushion is causing me such a headache

Need to go sleep now....
Good night world
Nobel prize for the win.....
:)
