7 Days to Race Day

I'm looking at my FIRST-EVER marathon in just......7 DAYS
How exciting can that be?
Considering that I didnt have a proper training regime
With plenty of disruption and stuff
Not clocking enough mileage per week
And plenty of other cock-up
Not forgetting a slight inflammation of my shin muscle
Oh well, I guess...................

I'M READY!!!!!

Like what OC Sir said
If we don't have enough mileage training to build up for the marathon
We can always take out our "past mileage"
LOL!

Clocking over 200km this year already
Should be smelly smelly enough
Done 1 compulsory half marathon
Plus some self-trained 20k
I think should be alright I guess?
Just some overdue tapering this week
Plus carbo-loading, hydration and sleeping well
I think Sunday would be a good experience for me
:)

The half-marathon route would be awesome I guess?
Starting at Sentosa
Running through Universal Studios Singapore
Quite cool!
All the best to Adrian and Alex for this 21km

For my first-ever marathon
Which is this year's Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore
(not Singapore Marathon, change of sponsor or so I heard)
It will start at 5am
Luckily there's this shuttle bus service at Hougang Stadium
At freaking 3.30am
Oh hell we are talking about godly timing here

Anyways
The starting point is at Orchard Road
Gonna be able to see this year's Orchard strip's X'mas lightings
No need to go squeeze with ppl during X'mas season then
:)

Killer point I think would be the 15km seemingly never-ending
stretch at East Coast Park
After that, noticing the CBD coming into view from there
It's gonna be the home-stretch

Seeing the crowd at the last few kilometres
I know this will be worth it
The pain and whatever sacrifices for this
The feeling of satisfaction of crossing the finishing line
Be it crawling, jogging, sprinting, or limping towards the end
With so many thousands of ppl sharing the priceless feeling
I know............ I gotta experience it myself!!!
:)
