I saw seniors, cousins, friends and older people who went
to the polytechnic and they would always show off their
attachment photos long after they had already graduated
Now's the time for me to post some pictures of my
attachment time in ExxonMobil
1st Sep 2008 - 30th April 2009
Plenty of up's and down's, pro's and con's
Of course, thats part and parcel of life isn't it?
But all of that has now come to an end
And it shall be the time of thanking those who were part
of this great experience of mine
So the 2nd last day of my contract working day
My supervisor treated us to Jap Teppanyaki at some
ulu ulu place at the Jurong Bird Park
He says can bring girlfriend there next time
But it's so outta my way from Hougang though
=(
Place was ulu
But food was great!
Plain and simple set-up
Waiting for the chef to come in after ordering the food
And the chef gets down to action with the fish and
gigantic prawns
Nice knife work to slice open the prawns and separate
the meat and the head
Tasty fishy
Deer meat with plenty of garlic
And 1 whole large piece of unagi each!
Awesome stuff here

Some mushrooms as well to finish off the dish
And 1 bowl of garlic rice with miso soup
Not forgetting one whole plate of assorted sashimi
Haha. Only 3 of us eat sashimi
OMG can?

So comes the last day of work at ExxonMobil
And here's the start of introducing the people I met
The friends I made, and the help rendered by the various ppl
This is Henry and Mr Ang in the centre of the picture
Henry is one of the best person I have met in my life
He taught me so much about the industry, the way of life
in person and in working world, and of course ignited my
passion of sports in cycling and dragonboating (once again)
But he complained his eyes not open in the picture
So....
Here's him and Ming Liang
Ming Liang is yet another great guy who taught me well
He gave us plenty of opportunities to go out field to see
works that are going on during TA
This is my Master Azimat
There's a reason why everyone calls him the Master
And yes you can guess it
I'm glad I got a chance to learn from him too!
This is Linda
She was one of the pioneer technicians that we met during
our internship and time at the S2 cubicle
She gave us an idea of how's life is if we part-study-part-work
Tough time coming from a person who's been there done that
Life experiences gained
This is Ah Dong - Dong Xixin
Ppl call him Double X
Hahaha. Kinda cool ya?
Great guy who is very hardworking and of course
Part of the TA team as well
This is Mr Lee Kum Seng
He recognise me very well
Horned at me while I was cycling
Then kana scolding by him for speeding
On my bicycle leh!
LOL!
I think a lot of ppl knew about this!
Hahaha. So paiseh lah
But he's yet another good person
Always remind us of safety first
And he talked to us and wished us all the best for our future too

Next to me is Mr Danny
My IAP supervisor for 6 months
I would say I learnt from him in a very different way
Picked up plenty of knowledge and life skills
Which would never ever be found from other places
Ppl would beg to differ but I would still say he's a....
person who is.....very straightforward
=)
And next to him is Mr Zulkifli
Also one of my boss who can see me immediately once he
stands up from his workplace
Haha. Open cubicle concept works this way isn't it?
I did a 1+ month project for him during my IAP
1+ month of hardcore editing and changing and reformatting
I thought I was going a bit sot sot during that time
But it was a great contribution wor
Add to my presentation for IAP
And this is yet another one of my Boss
Mr Kai Loong
He's the 1st person who was fierce to me
Becuz I address him with a Mr. in front
Haha! Scared me sia
But he say the reason is becuz we are friendly
and he's not so senior enough
Ya he's very young indeed
Gave us an overview of the place at first, talked to us
about Lasik surgery and even joined our dragonboat team
And Ayako Endo-san from Japan
Joined us recently and is a very friendly person who
never fails to smile at us every single day
Always a great way to start off the day by seeing her
Learnt some things with regards to the Japan's industry
and also the life there
Makes me all the more wanna go there!
And our latest Boss, Mr K.Singi who got promoted recently
Hardcore Liverpool fan
The first he said was to make me wear a Liverpool jersey
to work everyday if I was employed there
LOL! I don't mind if it was printed with Gerrad or Torres though
He's a guy with a loud voice and speaks anything on his mind
Approachable I would say
But depends of circumstances too
And of course my extension supervisor Mr Ang
He was automatic during TA
Called me even when it was a weekend
Thinking that I was at the workplace
Stressed out!
Haha. But he's another Liverpool fan as well
The older ppl are always more willing to speak up
and be analytical in their team's tactic and formation and players
Not so hardcore about just saying that their is the best or what
And I think he finds a lot of time to watches football match
to discuss with us
I'm very thankful to him for extending our stay at EM and
helping us to fight for privileges and gave us the chance to
go out to the field to see many many many different works
that I would never get to see in my entire lifetime and helped
me relate reality to pictures in lecture notes or the Internet
And my cubicle S1 OS Mr Ricky
Haha. He's one funny guy
The way he speaks is totally hilarious
He likes to play punk on Chong Yee and tease him
And he's so damn busy sometimes you cannt find him at all
But he taught us plenty of things in terms of the working industry
Would miss him too
And Mr Ng Beng Huat
Hahaha! OMG lo!
He's like one of the hidden person in my cubicle
But I talked to him plenty of time
Learnt about his past and the present
Extensive insight to times back when the petrochemical industry
just got started in Singapore
Can say he's one of the pioneers of the Esso and Mobil time
And he always never fail to fill up the CNY box I brought to
my place with goodies from the neighbouring cubicles
Oops!
Hahahaha! But helped me fight sleepyness wor
There's a reason why I bring the boxes there ok?
=p
He's just a really interesting and funny character
Don't believe you can ask ANYONE from S1
Hahaha!
They would do the infamous action anytime anyplace
And the lovely ladies at RAB
Angie, Carol, Lily & Theresa (from left to right)
Do I need to mention how much they helped us?
It would take pages and pages
But the most important thing is that they saw us through
for 9 months and helped us settled down from the very 1st
day we stepped into EM
Many thanks to Carol who always lend us the laminating machine
And treating us to goodies without fail
She is just so good to all the interns
Hope she has a very adorable and healthy baby soon
=)
Much trouble to Theresa who helped us get our equipments
from PPE, gloves, ear plugs, hard hat and even other equipments
we have to order for whatever purpose that is needed
Sorry to 麻烦 her with enquiries on new stationeries that
was used up so frequently everytime
And she always call me my wrong name and yet I'm the IC for
her F&B during TA too
Feed us until fat fat fat fat while working there
Hahaha
Really helped us a lot
=D
And of course Lily
Who can forget her for helping us in times of troubles with issues
on leave, pay, salary, MCs, student issue and whatever not
She always take her precious time off to help us settle whatever
we need to settle and she would do it without a fuss
Would miss her too!
And our S2 engineer from Process Tech, Ms Choon Man
She asked me if she looked 30
OMG! Tricky-and-yet-any-answer-is-wrong kinda question
So I any-oh-how try to smoke my way out of trouble
LOL!
But she always call on Chong Yee and then if he's not there
She will ask me by calling me 中二
Erm. Cuz Chong Yee sounds like 中一 and I should be 中二
But she says I look like 中四 cuz I too big-sized
=.=
Interesting character too
I can still rmb the time she wore a skirt and many ppl bombed
her until like what-not
Have troubles if you have too much friends and know too much ppl

NTU Engineer on internship
I'm very very very glad that he talked to me alot of
life at university in NTU and the SCBE itself
Of course he got god-like grades like 4.8+++ for his GPA
And he shared his life and experiences on how to take my
next step after graduation in NS and in the university
And things like the NUS system and how he rates both sides
Lastly, he's not from a top JC too
Shows that ppl can always achieve whatever they want if they
set their heart to it
Now's the time for friends in EM
This is Asri and he's always a wonderful to chit-chat with
Glad to know a friend like him
And yes another bunch of lovely ladies at the cafe
Heard about 黄金年华?
LOL! 3pm highlight reel everyday
The jokes they say....are.....needing time to digest
Hahaha. After which they are really funny seriously
They even recognised if we would like what kind of dish
and how much rice we wanna have for our meals
Will miss them much
And this bunch of happening guys who our Captains have
come to form this team of rowers
Whether they have families, are single, strong or fit or what
We have come together for damn hell of a good time during
our dragonboating sessions at Kallang and the Seletar reservoir
Will always rmb the days at Kallang whereby we would meet
other ppl, from kayakers to other teams from EM itself
The dirty jokes they made
The stories they tell
Our debrief sessions on land and on sea
And how we go hard ten whack whack whack all the way
Loved the way we would debrief with talk cock kinda comments
and everyone would laugh about it
What 一舟同心, 绝对无敌, 越战越勇
Politically correct statements but yet the way we say it
Everyone would just erupt in laugher on the boat
And how we always row closer towards the shore at the other end
of Kallang Basin to people watch and boost our morale
=p
These are the times I met the various ppl from various department
And how I got to know more about my job and the industry
I get to know ppl like Commando, Jackson, Brandon, Salim,
Tang Huat, Calvin and lots more in their relaxed self
Will never regret waking up early to go row boat with them
Hope to see them soon!
And the shift team interns
And Bear the watermelon-cutting animal(?)
And him giving half-a-ball 放半粒
Kai Siang and the TP ppl
Will always rmb how Kai Siang would always team up with Bear
And make fun of Si En all the way from workplace to wherever
we would be travelling to
How "Little Moon" became one hell of a joke and how much
fun it is to just be funny and comical
How carefree we would be laughing from the bus, to the MRT
to anywhere we would go by just being silly and stuff
I think I learnt how to laugh at myself for my silly actions
and how it is so important to be able to laugh at my ownself
Really is a very good stress-reliever as you can always be yourself
=)
And the NYP ppl
Of course Wei Suan, Chai Hui and Gavin
Gavin not so close lah
But Chai Hui boyfriend
And Yong Jun accept his friends boyfriends/girlfriends as friends too
And Wei Suan and Chai Hui are just 2 very interesting ppl
LOL!
Dont have to type it all out
But the #1 incident would be knowing Wei Suan acts out the
dramatic incident of the bank robbery incident whereby I was
the one robbing the bank and getting my woman to go in times
of trouble and avoiding the police
And yes the woman is important!
HAHA!
And the bag of money was damn identical to movie-style one
LOL!
Drama award for moment of the year!

And our Ngee Ann buddies like Edmund, Darren, Guan Qin,
Chew Hua the permit princess and Soon Teck the Chief Student
NP mates will always still be the best
And my working partner for 9 months
Mr Chua Chong Yee
He made me realised more about myself
Like seriously
It has been a 9 months of self-exploration
About getting to better myself, in terms of everything
And I hoped for all the best to him too
In terms of whether graduation and going to work or
carrying on to study or what
Hoped I have influenced him with my positive mindset
and whatever few good attributes I have
And ya, all the best and good luck ya?
And for now, it has been really a good time at ExxonMobil
I treasure
