Wanted to rush out a certain post dedicated to the Big Game
But due to time issue
I had to postpone to this week
But no worries, there's always time to celebrate victory!
Started by singing "Glory Glory Man United" to bunkmates (Arsenal fans!)
Anyways last weekend was great!
Becuz I finally caught the movie "UP"!
UP is such a nice movie
Been hearing all the plenty of good reviews from everyone
Ever since Ding Feng told me that he chose it over G.I. Joe
I been wanting to catch it
But aiya, circumstances again...
Finally got time out to catch it

Everyone's forgotten favourite place at AMK

I think Alpha was damn hilarious
Squeaky Micky Mouse voice when he got wrongly connected
Manly husky voice for his original tone
And the pug with short little legs
Freaking cute!

The supposedly talking dog with the tongue out 100% of the time
Wish you had such a cute dog too right?
And this weird bird called Kevin

To me
I think the whole show is very enjoyable
I mean
The whole story of an old man and his wife
How they met each other when young
And grow old together
Went through so much sadness and happiness together
Even when his wife had issues giving birth
They still enjoyed doing simple stuff in life such as laying down
on the grass and watching clouds form different shapes
Look at each other lovingly while doing housework
How all these screenplay connected into everything with minimal
speech and just background music and animation
Just makes me feel...感触良多
The other factor would be the whole storyline behind this movie
Its very good!
The way the old meet the young
And the generation gap
How each person think and react and act
And the fat boy who is super duper cute stuff
Explorer please!
All his actions are damn bone-tickling
Makes me laugh everytime I just see his face
The neck being negligible or barely visible
And his expressions
Worth the time in the cinema!

Back to the Big Game: Man U Vs. Arsenal
YJ calls Hui Jeen at 12am...
YJ: "Hey Hui Jeen. Can I ask you a qns?"
Jeen: "Eh, ya?"
YJ: "Got tissue with you now?"
Jeen: *assume WTF expression* "No?"
YJ: "Oh. Dont be sad. You need some later when Man U win Arsenal!"
Jeen: =.=
YJ: "HAHAHA!"
Jeen: "Not funny lor!"
Guess what happen when Arsenal scored first through Ashravin?
Phone rings...
I didnt really wanted to answer it
Jeen: "Got tissue not?"
Jeen: "Got tissue not?"
Jeen: "Got tissue not?"
YJ: *strongly refuse to say anything and ans the qns*
Jeen: "Got tissue not?"
Jeen: "HAHAHA!"
YJ: =.=
Then what happen when Rooney tripped and penalty was given?
SMSes came in consecutively
Jeen: "WTF?"
Jeen: "Miss!"
Rooney SCORES!
*send the keeper going the other way too*
And what happens when Diaby scored an own goal?
Haha. This time no SMS already
At that point of time
I only wanted Alex Ferguson to introduce this man...
Oh man. Thought he would played
But oh well...
The big game was a freaking big joke
Man U didnt play well
The better team indeed scored MORE goals
But Man U still won
I guess thats the bottom line!
Who cares how it is done?

And this weekend I managed to see something that is rare
Which is the Chinese Wayang
"Wayang" is a sensitive word nowadays...

Thought it would be good to snap some photos
Chinese Wayang is a profession that is dying out fast
Salute to all the actor/actress for their dedication
Against all odds
It must be really hard to do something like what they present
Next time I guess our own children wont be able to see such stuff anymore
Come to think of it
It's kinda sad wouldn't it be?

I think black and white photos is an art in itself...
Been reading books on photograhpy in camp
It says something that photographers generally are attracted to
what black and white can deliver as a photograph
Like what B&W has the actual depth or what feeling thingy
Very chim stuff...
B&W can have many different forms and layers
Therefore I think its actually quite difficult to portray a
B&W photo and the message the photographer is sending through
The many different angles and colour scale also confuse things up too
I guess different ppl snap their pictures differently
Thats why I like to see how Jon take his photos and compare mine with him
Gets to absorb some kind of interpretation in his view of similar things
Very enriching to me
Courtesy to him for some of the photos he took
=)
I also found out that I cant really take human portraits in B&W
Cant really express my feelings for the person
Like how I want to portray him/her
Somehow just don't really like my B&W human portraits
Still prefer taking still objects
But shall try my hands on B&W humans soon
If there are characters around to practise on
=p
Besides that...
I started reading books on Photoshop too
Tried my hands on this particular photo which I like
Can you tell what has been edited?
Been using macro to create the depth-of-field shots for compact
But its kinda dumb to me la
Sometime it works, sometime it doesnt
And most of the time....it doesnt
=/
Only DSLR nv let you down ALL THE TIME
So the easy way was to use Photoshop
Straightaway I'm able to create the depth-of-field shot
Focus on the subject (which is me talking on the phone)
And blurring out all the background
But if you click on the photo
You would realise all the many different flaws
So best if you just view the picture on screen
Cuz I'm not zai at Photoshop
Just trying to play around with it
But trying to be serious at it too
Cuz somehow I feel that I would use it frequently in time to come
=D
Anyways I kinda like my pictures this time round
Added them to the collection of B&W too
And its growing in size

And the last best thing of last week....
Holy....
Took some hesitation to buy it while I was buying the newspaper
Then I thought to myself...
"WTF. Am I gonna regret my decision later?
Brrrrrrrr. Buy or not buy
Aiya, buy buy buy buy! "
