Hey hey

I'm back from the land of ancient Spore - Pulau Ubin

Seriously still counting the hours I have been sleeping

OR NOT SLEEPING!

Its already been 5 days

which equates to 120 hours

And I have only been sleeping for 8 hours for

2 days before going to camp

Then going there and only sleeping

another 8 hours for 3 days

Which is....

16 hours out of 120?

So cool eh?

Still trapped in this dark period

Well, after camp on Sun, the next morning

I have been to Dr Sim for the body check-up
which is needed for Exxon

I'm glad to say....

I'M IN THE 1.8 METRES CLUB!!!

Ok. After coming back from school on Fri

Packed my stuff and went to XMS

Saw dear Ms Ng there!

Haha. She is always a joy to meet =)

We embarked on the journey to Ubin after

attendance taking

As we arrived at the jetty

Rain was coming down slightly and

my Da Jie (Diana) asked me to lead the way

in 1st

The cadets were not familiar with the way

and I asked them to lead the way

At the T-junction before the camp site

I asked the front person where to go

Then they replied

'Left!'

'Right!'

'Straight!' (hello....straight is into the woods)

Then they started the marching timing

'Left...Left...Left...Right...Left!'

I was like -_- zzzomg!

Arriving into Camp Resilience

Thought they were having fun climbing

up the steep steep slope yea?

Nono. Some briefing being done by

Camp Cord Wei Yi from Monfort

Due to some severe lack of manpower in the day

I was tasked to supervise tent-pitchting

So not fun....

Especially doing stuff for National Camp

and some BF there screwing us arnd....

Dinner time

We figured out he could speak dog language

All the dogs will just go with him

and he asked the dogs to sit

And they obediently sit outside the canteen

Moving to the 2nd day

After some major debrief in the night

I had to crawl across to the other campsite

for a briefing on my supposedly in-charge

activity: Basic Survival Skills (BSS)

Well, Da Jie brought me there and

the ppl there were sorta of stunned that

I got backing....so.....

Haha. Pretty much got things thrashed out there

This forest hole above is the entrance to shelter building

O ya! After the 'showdown' at the Sec 2 campsite

I went back with Diana, Guo Jing, Kelly and Michelle

2 XMS and 3 Hougang CIs

Lol. Makes the best of friends too

Anyways, Guo Jing told me that a pretty 1st-aider

was there at the Medic Post

Woohoo~

Haha. The 5 of us then make a 'detour' upon

my request to the Medic Post

LOL! =p

The pretty 1st-aider was from outside

And her name is Grace

Hahaha. Guo Jing didnt managed to get a formal

introduction but I did!

(with help from my bestest best best Da Jie)
Too bad Tai Wei was there =(

Hahaha. But we were motivated for the night already!

After bathing went back and wanted to go in for

another 'check-up' for ourselves...

I mean checking up on the cadets...

LOL

Next day

Primitive fire starting!

5 match-sticks to get a fire burning for at least 20s

Ok. I received a call from Ms Oh

and we had to ferry a XMS cadet back to mainland

He was shivering badly and had a high fever

Poor kid

Couldnt even walk properly

So glad to hear that he was feeling

better after reaching mainland

Overall it was a very good learning experience

Got to learn plenty of stuff

Open my eyes to many things

Like how pointless some ppl like to ment out punishments

How XMS cadets behave compare to others

Make a lot of new friends also

Its weird to have cadets waving to me while

on the way home

Passed by XMS and would see SGS, or Hougang,

or Peicai ppl around

But its always nice to have an impact on others
