So after the very unforgettable Thursday night...

I attended my first night cycling trip organized by LSCT
All shagged out and tired from work
We proceed down to Ngee Ann to gather at the Atrium
As the lights were closed out...
Suddenly most of us felt really damn sleepy
Espescially Jolyn
Only Richard was the Energizer Bunny around!
Oh ya. It was the 2nd Friday of the week
And it is always the best Friday of the week!
The Atrium has this nice ATM there btw...
=)
So we got our bikes, helmets, shirts, and rear lights
Then we proceed to prepare for the long ride

I think that the organiser was giving a briefing for
everyone that is a participant
Except the Year 3 group of us
I didnt know why we didnt attend the briefing also
Only realised that we missed the entire thing
while we were filling in our indemnity forms
But Ming Cheng just gave us another slipshod version of it...
I guess it's the same?

So all set and ready to go for the LONG LONG ride
from 11pm till 6am
Single file for extra safety
And it felt damn chilly to ride out into the night as
we leave the main gates of Ngee Ann
Particularly cold indeed
And we made our way past the all-time favourite...

And we cyclists manage to get 1 lane indeed
So it was a burden-istic ride up Clementi Road
Super duper uphill
Very taxing on the legs
And it still feels cold indeed...

We made our way as a convoy to our first pit stop
Somewhere along Holland Road
Right after we passed Holland V
A Ferrari F430 was just beside me
I swear I can just reach out my hand and touch it
as we were stationary there waiting for the red light
So after 1+ hour
We reached our first pit stop
Esso Petrol Station?
Still regretting not buying any food from there
Aiya Chong Yee! If got bring the rations from our cubicle
and the Uncle Toby can already right?

So after re-fueling up and doing some stretching
Off we proceed to our next stop
Which is Orchard Road
Damn. No food!

And as we moved on from Holland Road to Orchard Road
Its a very close distance ride on the bus btw
Richard noticed that our safety car was not following us
Richard was the last man btw
So he was kinda angsty...
Thus he looked like this

Oh man. Soon Teck got a 7-gear bike for 200+ bucks
Thats a damn steal of a bargain!
And we found our Honda Civic!

Pass Tanglin...pass Forum....pass Soon Teck's sis shop
(selling nice dresses for missy!)...pass Orchard Towers....
(selling nice meat for men!)....pass Ngee Ann City and Taka
Its so shiok to just ride through town in the middle of the night
I mean...how many of us can claim to do so?

And the concrete pavement is quite good to cycle too!

Yet another long distance ride

And someone's chain dropped out

Then finally saw the F1 pit building!

Food again!
Quite easily hungry as you cycle for a long period of time
So we rest up a while before moving off
Richard gathered all of us and told us a ghost story
Which I missed out totally due to going to the loo
And Dr Koh interupted him before he could finish
And we moved on to Tanjong Pagar
To the Central District - pass Chinatown and etc
We were stopping at this area
Whereby there's a kerb and a drain there
Besides the drain was this bush of vegetation
As I braked and look up
I saw a bike down on the ground
And someone climbing out of the bush!
Horrors of all horrors!
*gasps*
Actually the fact was someone missed the
kerb and stepped on the intersecting drain hole
And fell into the bushes!
LOL! Damn funny when Soon Teck told me
Both of us laughed our ass off
Till this day somemore
Shit man! Bad karma!

Which a lot of ppl were queueing

And then a couple of gays came along

So after Maxwell, we rode a damn dangerous ride back
to Newton circus
Crazy stuff at Goodwood Park there
The girl in front of me nearly got banged by this Merz cab
Crazily fast and she didnt realised it
The Merz cab e-braked and I thought it nearly hit her lah!
Like WTF?
Not good for the heart also
And Chew Hua missed this stupid red light
Which I told her to stop
But she moved off
Then she cycled upslope
But she couldnt stop as her legs were too short to reach the ground
So she yelled and cycled off clumsily
HAHA! Joke of the day like wtfpawnz hands down
Soon Teck and I are still laughing at her don't worry
=)
Along the way...
We saw a gang of Evolutions

One car has like 10 gauges

And a lot of high-end cars powered their way
onto the roads late at night
Just a trip alone and we also saw the latest Nissan Skyline
And oh ya!
Not forgetting the event of the night!
One angmoh in the taxi open his door
Asked what we were doing at the traffic light
We replied and say we were doing night cycling
Then he say something like: "Cycle for what?"
After which he CLIMBED OUT of the taxi!

Trying to grab us

We met him again
He RAN ACROSS THE STREET
ARMS WAVING

Kick up a gear (I heard the click sound as I was behind)

by a mere half-a-hair on the arm
I mean....
This is crazy leh!
If the angmoh got him...

Richard did the Ah-Beng thing (he was beside me)
And rode like half-a-handlebar length beside him
And "OI" so loudly the angmoh spinned 1 round

Had a good roti-john at Newton and rode back to Ngee Ann
By then it was close to 6
74 was already in operation
I just want to dump the bike on the ground
Then climb onto the 74 and go home
You never know how far it is from Dunearn to Ngee Ann lo
Plus with the Roti John slowly digesting in my stomach
I like closed my eyes for a while
and noticed my bike started drifting into the 2nd lane
Dangerous I would say
Freaking tired!!!
Shagged out
But as we passed the gates of Ngee Ann
Doing the Tour de France winning posture

is pure joy and relief!

A taxi trip back with Richard and a Big Breakfast treat

Its really a very fun and enriching experience!
(into report writing mentality already!)
And did I mention?
I went for dragonboat training in the evening
Nearly cramped up on the boat
Haha. Jackson is killing us with each training
But the team bonding feel is really great!
Words just cant describe that feeling
plus knowing ppl and extending contacts
to even the offsite and SS levels
Cool stuff!
