When you stand back and take a look at the bigger picture

These would be the questions running through your mind

You sit down for a cup of drink
People question why is it alcoholic
People question why it is such an expensive cup of coffee
People ask why are you so cheapskate?

Cheapskate cheapskate
What does cheapskate means to you?
Does it mean that saving and scrimping here and there
means a cheapskate to you?

Does it means getting stuff at cheaper prices, asking for bargains
looking for discounts and lobangs or even question the budget
of each person's present/gift for his/her bday or special event
means being a stingy person?

And yet no one listen to you

Everyone is too quick to judge
Everyone around you
You know it
They give you no chance
They judge from what you dress
They judge you from the handphone, wallet, shirt, appearance,
amount of beard, hair, even your slippers

And yet at sit-downs session
No one asked about what is going on

The first question everyone ask on courtesy is "what's up?"
The politically correct answer would be "fine how about you?"

And you soon realised that the conversation never was about you
You wished it would be at times
You wished.....

And yet you asked them about the happenings in their lifes
You asked how have they have
What are they doing
How's life
Whats the plan for the future
Whats the current situation

Never did they asked about you
Yes they did you knew it deep down
Yes they got asked
But yet you reject them
You push them away
You keep a distance

Nobody asked you why
Nobody understand the current situation
What should be said and not blurt out in circumstances
You pull a long face and ppl say you are aloof
You talk much and ppl say you nag

Ppl think that persons of the same age have
no superiority over others
No experience or whatsoever

But they never open up their mind
They have their own views and there's mutual respect
And yet, consideration on another opinion was always not much
of any significance
Why?
Cuz they are too quick to judge

When there's an issue
You step up to solve it
You put in effort
And personally I appreicate effort much more
But not everyone does
Nowadays instant result counts for everything

Problem, call for solution

Want problem solved and dusted

A word of thanks and thats it
Utility tool you figured
Its ok you reckon
Nobody expects anything in return for helping too
And thats the correct mindset

But no one runs a donation centre here at the age of 20

No returns
No gains
No benefits
Bah! Slam doors on you

And yet you have a problem
You approach them
Sincerity and consideration is the least they can show
And yet you judge them too
Judging from the way they act and behave
But you put up with it

They say its ok you can handle it
You know it too
Its yet another act of courtesy
Going through the motion you say

Ppl expect you to bounce back from setbacks
They see you done it
They want you do it
They know you do it
And you showed them you can
You did it

And yet you did yourself
You look to no one but yourself
You tap into your inner core
Say a little prayer to yourself
Put faith and belief in everything about you
Draw depths of energy and boundless strength
Stood up
Rise to the occasion
Turn the tide
Conquer and become victorious

And yet you knew it would be better if there's
fellow comrades
Arm-in-arm
Hand-in-hand
Through thick and thin
Blood and water
Sweat and tears

You look at your past achievements
Proud of oneself is not wrong
Being confident and arrogant is on a thin line
You just cant stop others from saying what they want
And you way of life is to have the look good feel good factor
But you are disturbed by the fact of ppl's comment

Never to not considered what others say
And yet too influenced by hearsay

And now issues have resurfaced
Its time to face it
Challenges they are there to be overcome
You knew it
You geared yourself up
You draw in a deep breath
And its gonna be tough
But you lay down plans till age 30
Till age 50 comes later you say

Enjoy life
Lead a healthy lifestyle
Cuz you never know when you or your loved ones
would be struck by some unmentionable illness
Causing grieveness and sadness
And issues of cuz
Financially its gonna be a turmoil
And bad times like now is not the time to be charitable
Selfish? Yes? No?
Care too much? Yes? No?

People would just comeby and say you think too much
Same story
Everytime
You are only looking for a different ending everytime
Your life needs spark
Needs comfortness
Need calmness

Everyone is gonna just say
Emo-nemo

Character is only tested in times of difficulties
And you have seen too many failures to even comments
Just know that you are still sticking to your plan
And you have achieved your current goals at the age of 20
You reached whatever you wanted to achieve in
the financial and academics and life section
But you want more
You can have more
But you just need to release some things you are holding
on to too tightly to be able to reach out and grab more......
