Tioman Trip 2009

"The Gang" went to Tioman!
From June 28th to 30th

Anyways we had to meet at 630am at Scotts Road on Sunday
That was damn early
And the night before I went home tired like a dog
But it was a good Saturday night the night before
Shall mention it in another post perhaps
=)


So after which we boarded the bus to Tioman
Everyone was expecting Eric to not bring his passport
Hmmm
Where's the love man?!


We made a pit-stop and had nice roti-prata along the way























And this was the place which Hui Jeen and Joanne took the same
photo the other time they went to Tioman last year

After the pit-stop
We arrived at what Gemok Ferry Terminal
(Doesnt "Gemok" means "Fat" in Malay?)
So literally we were at Fat Ferry Terminal
Oh wow!

Had to wait 2 precious hours for the boat to arrive
Oh well
What do you expect?























So we passed time by taking pictures


















And of course talking about some serious issues

I seemed like the only one talking?
Nah
All of us had some opinions about some stuff
And actually the discussion made me realised some points too
But I think Hui Jeen wasnt too pleased with these kind of discussion
No juicy gossip for her
So she decided to broke us up by asking for a photo-taking session


















It works everytime!
Surprisingly...


Soon it was time to board the ferry
(After 2 hours though)

Deb was trying to do the Cesc Fabregas thingy
She was obsessed about doing the hook-up ball trick throughout

You will never catch Hui Jeen trying to do that
N-E-V-E-R E-V-E-R!!!

And after a long boat ride
With the super duper icy chilly freezing cold air-con blasting
It was....

...Mountains
...Clear water
...Rocks
...Resorts
...Sand
...And chillax time!
=)

So we quickly got into our bikinis
(I mean the girls)
And whatever like apply sunblock or what

Since it was 3+ 4 already after checking in
And we decided to use the remaining time to have some
volley action at the slanted court of Pulau Tioman

Plan A/B/C/D/E/F/G was attack/serve/spike towards Eric
Plan H was to serve the ball at the centre of the hole in front of Eric
And the rest of the plans are just to....aim at Eric

The rule was simple:

Dont fix what's not broken
Don't tinker with the starting 11
And don't change what works

Just stick to the plan!

Sports is always like that
Attack the weakest link
And do the "strong side dominate weak side" theory
It ALWAYS ALWAYS works
Tried and proven
Tested to be effective 100%

After working up a good sweat and using all the traditional Chinese
gong-fu moves like the 18-Dragon Palms and what ever 九阳神功
We had plenty of fun and sun


















And we just dipped into the water to cool off and wash off sand
Whenever we need or want to
That's a statement in itself
Shiokness!

And we even played touch rugby and captain's ball
Touch rugby was crazy
Captain's ball was crazy too
And there was even 1 point we played 3-on-3 soccer
With Deb being the girl in our team
Well, she nearly scored
If not for brave defending
So good effort on her part!
=)

After that
The sky was turning dark
And we just sat inside the water
Trying to flip rocks
And enjoy the last sunset of the day
And the surrounding sights too
(There was a couple taking their wedding shots there)

Btw I flipped the rock and it bounced 5 times on the water
Cool right?
=p

After the sunset
We washed up and had buffet dinner
Then we walked around to digest

And then we sat down to watched the Spain vs. South Africa match
And the match was boring until the last 20 mins
5 goals (including one in extra time)
And out of the 5 goals, 4 were damn awesome!
2 direct free-kicks goals
1 cheeky lob
And 1 placement shot in the lower bottom corner

Great match
Brilliant goals
Good comapny
Cheap beer
And windy night
Awwww
That's good life!

The next day morning
We woke up early for American breakfast
And then prepared our gear for snorkeling in the sea

Damn hilarious stuff
The frienemies and love triangle episode
Always is a sub-story plot in itself
As we waited for the boat to arrive...

Its photo-taking again!

Quite a number of boats arrived
But the first few took only the divers out
And as the last diver boat pulled out
The guy on deck gave me a flying kiss as I smiled at him
Oh no~
*gulps*




















The boat ride was long

And it was kinda jerky

But nonetheless smooth

1 is the marine park
The other is the rocky place in the open sea

And went down to snorkel

There were plenty of fishes

And due to the fact that ppl use bread to feed the fishes too

They came swarming in hordes

And they were so close that you can just reach out and touch them

Some looked fierce though

But I felt that the water in Tioman is not so clear as the one in Langkawi

I saw a barracuda in Langkawi

But no one believed me though

As Cai Ying and Kobe went up after feeling tired

Of course the rest all had Eric's head blocked out somehow

So after the long tiring snorkeling
The last thing we had to do....

Was to execute the game:
"Survivor Tioman"

The aim of the game - Eliminate Eric
Hahaha!
It was a simple objective right?
But check out the stuff we had to do

We do what normal Survivor game players did
"Outwit, Outplay, Outlast"

So we proceeded to swim the fastest towards the boat
Before it drove away
There was only 1 way up the ladder
But it was getting too slow
A lot of players were left in the open sea
So Jia Yong did this...

Valiant efforts in climbing and hanging on to the boat

And of course falling on his ass

All in hopes of eliminating Eric

Of course I swam like Michael Phelps

*coughs*

Ah hem!

Right to the ladder too!

Deb and Wei Ying were the remaining players (besides Eric)

Wei Ying climbing over the railing at long last

Eric was trying his best to climb back up

Before the boat drove off

But I did what we had to

I mean what was necessary to win

We were only allowed to backtrack and not run

The sky then turned dark
And the wind was howling like crazy
So we retreated back and washed up
Had our dinner and just relag and sit there
Talk cock
Take turns bathing
Look at cute little boys played with lobsters feelers
And the surrounding Beethovens aka "贝多分"

I was disappointed after seeing Beethoven

Anyways
When everyone had bathed and smelled nice
We ordered beer and stingrays and satays
Plus the snacks we bought
And we just sat there
Drink beer, eat good food
Awwwww
That's life again!

Among all the food

We also talked till 3am

A lot of arguements

A lot of discussions

And a lot of talking and eating and drinking

I think Deborah was about to burst her blood vessels though

I mean this time I'm not at fault sia

Ok I only played a small part

After which

We retreat back to our rooms

And gathered in one of the 2 rooms

Before discussing how to tau-pok Eric

He came in and was prepared

Cuz he heard us at the door

(Shit!)

So since he figured out our plans

Jia Yong said "Aiya Eric, 自动啦!"

And we immediately got our act going!


















I only knew Jia Yong did a frog splash on me

Ouch!

But the impact at the bottom must be worse

Call 911 please

3am tau-pok action is MAX!

Sapped all our energy

And that night we didnt hear any snoring

I think Deb snored the day before

HAHA!

No lah. I not sure

But she did something to me in the morning

She flashed at me!

And she said "Aiya you dont mind hor?"

I could only reply "Why you do such thing to me?"

Damn jialart lah the both of us

Reached this kind of stage already

=.=

Soon it was time to go back

"Till we meet again"

The Ramly Burger place which will be missed one way or another

And here's thanking our organizer Ms Ho Hui Jeen

For making this trip successful

And sending constant sms as reminders

And bearing with our nonsense at Hougang Plaza

And of course going down to pay the fees
And collecting and refunding the ppl too

But we ended up at AMK somehow

It was a great time at Tioman

And I think blogging it down is a good way to recollect

After getting the photos too

Definitely feels better to recollect in the 3rd-person format
And so now

I'm recharged

(Didnt I just went to Australia and Genting already?)

LOL!

And I'm ready for enlistment

Ready to chiong and give it all

=)

But it keeps getting gloomier as the date draws nearer
