Still stuck at Perth
HAHA!
Nah. Perth trip means must walk around Perth right?
So after a hearty morning breakfast of many many types of
cereal and milk and self-toasted bread with different jams
David picked us up at Billabong and we went to King's Park
So after dropping us off
David went to the cafe to study while we explored the
vast area of King's Park
The sights that greeted us
It was in memory of the soldiers that fought there during WWII
And this was the sort of resting place whereby the soldiers
had their names craved onto the stone walls
Their company, their division, their battalion, their unit etc
Moving on
We walked towards the side of King's Park
And guess what we see...
Awesome view of Perth city
With speedboats somemore
And the highway linking up to South Perth
We also noticed some queer sights in King's Park
Remember the Tongkat Ali at the Perth Zoo?
This is the biggest in Southern Australia (meaning Perth)
And we confirmed the timing was correct
We walked and walked
And just decided to anywhere around
Cuz the air was so damn fresh
You can literally smell the sweetness in the air
Like nectar being carried by the bees around
And the grass looks so inviting
So much that it resembles my bed back in Singapore
Then we just plonked down on the grass
And just lazed there
Feels so good
Doesnt feel like there's mud or dog shit (like in SG)
Hahaha!
But certainly it feels like my bed
Rocks to the very core!!!
=D
And check out Mun Kay our expert photographer
Doing what it takes to capture the best of the best
No wonder he totally thrash all of us in the pictures
=/
We also found a outdoor class going on at King's Park
I think junior school or primary school
Very enthusiastic kids
All jumping up and down to try to answer questions
Compared that to Singaporean kids
Mostly very quiet
Just sit there and wait
Wait for the sun to bake them alive
=.=
LOL!
Ok it is a joke!
There were also huge quantity of ducks there
All quak quak quak non-stop
Damn cute
Close-up of 1 duck we cornered
Oops!
=p
No ducks were injured in photo-taking session
Adrian just ran after them while MK took video
I have the video and it looks damn hilarious!
Rocks!
So after that
We went up their tree-top walk
Did I mention it thrash the MacRitchie one?
Ok it doesnt really thrash
But it has excellent view!
Ok got 1 photo of the Swan Brewery got accidentally deleted
Shitz
=(
But yes it overlooks the Swan River
Cool right?
And I realised they have trees which comes
with leaves like this colour shown above
Got a group photo and proceeded to David's university for lunch
The place was near's Deb's place too
Ok they went to the same university
O.o
Finally cheap and good food
Aussie food is.....at murderous pricing
=(
So after lunch
We went to pick up our rental car
The place was Bayswater Car Rental
As we didnt manage to get our car online
David helped us booked it
And in fact, it was cheaper for him to book for us
=)
So we exchanged cars outside
Swapped the luggages
And David led us to the highway where we bid farewell
Meanwhile the rest of us tried to meddle with the GPS
You would know electronics are the real killers in the world
If you cannot handle them
But no sweat
A couple of guys, who say we cant get the job done?
So we set the GPS to our destination
Which was Bunbury
Adrian was the 1st driver of the day
And above was the sights as we moved further away from the Perth city
Around 1+ 2 hours later
We arrived at....
The city of Bunbury
Fortunately we did our homework back at home
And we also got a solid good map from Billabong
That map is the immunity throughout our whole trip!
The sand is sooooooo awfully soft
That it feels that I walking on cushion
Damn good I tell you
And the water
OMG the water
You can see into the horizon
With limited few private ships parked sparsely apart
You can get a sight whereby heaven meets earth
In the horizon whereby its the thin line of sky and water
Totally great stuff there!
=)
So we went to the attraction of the Bunbury
Which was the lookout tower
The tower overlooks the entire city of Bunbury
And it looks so peaceful and spacious
Ppl have their own ships
They have their own lawns, own gardens, own garage
And it just looks like Wisteria Lane in Desperate Housewife
Minus the Housewives and hoping for Eva Longoria of course
=)
The whole place
The pace of life seems so slow
So relax, so void of stress and devoid of the pressure cooker environment
Makes you wanna buy a house there and stay there too
Awwww
So after lingering for a while more
We decided to move on to another destination
Which was Busselton
The sun sets early in Aussie and we had to move quickly
before the lights disappear and it was dangerous to drive at night
But before that...
This makes a good display pic for putting in the resume
to apply for a job in Shell Petrochemicals
=p
Notice the cheap prices of oil compared to Singapore
But there was manual pump for all vehicles
And our technician Edmund Chong Sin Yong got down to work
Realised I was working as a technician at Exxon at that time too
=x
Exchanged Edmund as the driver and we arrived at Busselton
just right on time before the check-in closes for the day
Phew
Lucky us
Anyways
After getting our keys for the room
We saw a couple of old couples sitting there
Sipping some hard liquor and enjoying an ice-cold beer
Good life
Friendly folks as we exchanged greetings too
The pool has a duck in it
HAHA!
*thumbs up*
Once we opened the door...
WOW!
DOUBLE WOW!
Anyways this is the pic after MK bathed at night
He curled up into a ball
And I immediately laid the most electricfying move in
Sports Entertainment - "The People's Elbow" on him
Ahhhh!
Hahaha!
That is the sound respectively from both of us
You can guess who voiced which one out
You can guess who voiced which one out
=)
Nonetheless, we still got some time before the sun sets
Nonetheless, we still got some time before the sun sets
So we asked the folks outside drinking their alcohol where the jetty was
And we hurried there
The streets resembles the one at Bunbury
Very calm and peaceful too
Countryside feel
As we hear the birds chirp in the background
We were greeted by awesome sights once again...
The crimson red of the sunset
Totally totally totally is ownage stuff
A perfect mixture of red, orange, yellow and purple
And you can see the entire sun go down beyond the horizon
Seriously...
Seriously...
And yet again
We took off our shoes
And go walking in the sands
Nice picture here
We dipped our feet into the water
And we realized that there's....
GIANORMOUS fish inside the water
Told you the water was ownage right?
Crystal clear
Makes it so easy for fishing lah!
Makes me also want to grab a fishing rod and sit there
Wait for the fish to bite
So the sunset and the street lights lit up the place
Ppl were still enjoying nights out
And we walked around more before deciding to go find dinner
Before we leave the place
A nice picture of the jetty...
=D
And we settled on our very first fish&chips in Aussie
Eat till you dono what your mother name is
Like damn exaggerated
But its the truth
Anyways the fish is really good with vinegar
Tasty
And the shop-keeper is looker!
Its their eyes seriously
Different colours
Very very very attractive
So after digesting our food
The shop was about to close
It was only about 8+
And we walked unwillingly into....
HAHAHA!
"Unwillingly" my ass
Yam Di Zao Ah!
(Cantonese if you know it)
=)
=)
There was a house promotion
Quite cheap the drinks
And there the draft beer is good
Something you cannot find in Singapore
I think is called Carlton or something
Tasty!
Washes down the oily fries just the way Chinese tea does
Ermmm
They works the same way right???
LOL!
Ok but you know there's really nothing to do after 5pm right?
After our drinks
We retired back to the super nice room
Discussed the itinerary for the next day
Confirmed who was the Duty Officer
Bathed and surfed the channels
The channels were....quite not so what we were hoping for
The Taiwanese channels at night rocks to the core
If you have been to Taiwan and watch cable at night
Action-packed!
=p
And anyways I apologised for like a very brief entry?
Its the most summarised version of Day 2 already
And yes in case you wanna know...
It takes a long time to upload the photos
And to edit and type and align etc
And the blogger always somehow cannot CTRL+Z
So some nice pictures were accidentally deleted
And no I don't upload on Facebook
So sorry if you cant see the photos
But you can ask from me!
Glad to share my experience with you!
Australia is a nice place
Whereby its hard to share the experience through words and photos alone
Seriously...you need to personally go there
Good stuff wor!
And I'm proud I got this entry done!
=)
Going for tennis now~
