Singapore actually has a nice cycling culture
Everytime I go out to cycle and meet fellow cyclists
They would wave and give a big friendly smile
How nice of them
=)

And I was cycling to Yishun on Friday
And was kinda stuck at Lentor Ave
Becuz there was a expressway exit joining Lentor Ave
And I was stuck in the centre
So I was like waiting at the centre hoping for a lucky break

Then came along another cyclist on the same path
And he manged to get his timing just right
So we crossed the road together
He still managed to wave to me as he crossed the road

I intended to stay behind in his slipstream
So that can gather more speed
But within 10 seconds he was out of reach already
I check the speed and I was around 25+ 27+ km/h?
He must be at least 35+ 40+ km/h
Haiz
Thats the difference between a road bike and a mountain bike
=(

Yishun dam
Such a nice place to chill out
Just sit on the rocks
Looking out to the water

One end to the other

And in front

Park the bike behind
Rest it
Knowing no one would steal it

See couple cuddle closely
Whisper sweet nothings
Enjoy their personal time together
And view the sunset at the background

And fishermen(?) trying to fish for....fish?

And 旺仔, 小王 and friends lazing around
Absorbing the last rays for the day

I gave them a friendly pat on the back before I go
And they were so friendly back to me too
How nice of them
=)

But we still need to go at the end of the day
Before everything turns to dark...

Just by converting them to black and white
Some of them gave a really different feeling...

When I don't have my digital camera with me
I just cant get certain shots I want
And of course the camera phone has lots of things to beg for
Like....limited zoom?
Slow capturing speed?
And lousy quality?
Just to name a few

Not that I'm complaining
But ya, its ok if others have the cameras with them
Photos can still be obtained from them

Anyways Yishun dam is such a nice place
Why it's such a nice place?

- It has a splendid view of the sea
- Fantastic look at the sunset
- Zero / Minimum traffic noise
- Creates a good workout to cycle to there and back
- Quiet
- Lush green grass on the other sides

It's perfect for couples
For ppl to clear their heads
For a nice and long conversation
To escape from the reality of the concrete jungle
Even for just a lil' while

---------------------------------------------------

After the ride back home
It was the 1st time I felt exhausted
1st time I got caught in the rain and seek shelter at the bus-stop
I was perspiring and ppl were looking at me
Feels like a public exhibit
=/

Managed to just be late for 5mins for the dinner treat
At Just Acia / Asia / Noodles
Ok I dont remember the name
But it was a treat from Han Kee
Below our expected budget
I mean MY expected budget
Ok its MY expected budget

So we wanted to cash in more
I mean to walk around to digest our food
And Eric called and we met at THE CATHAY
Walked to what Selegi or Rochor tau huay

Not fantastic
Trust me
I know my tua huay
I SOLD IT FOR A YEAR!!!
Mervis's mom even called me the tau huay kia
Best~

And of course trust the consumers
Singaporeans like to go for names and brands
There ARE better things out there without their due recognition
And check out the queue there
Totally crowded and packed like sardines
I dont really like being squeezed and rush through my food
Not a good eating experience for me
And really its what I say 'buay zai'

Poly 4e4 meet-up is always constructive
Talked about a lot of things
And so glad to know XMS ppl who went poly (most of them)
Did very well for their entire poly stint
Spread-ed success throughout the Top 5 Polys in Singapore

Ppl like Jess (from 4e1) in SP got on the newspaper!
(I think she was chio last time! Lots of ppl brainwashed me otherwise)
I think she's like the Top Grad for Optometry or something
Jun Hao (from 4e3) in NYP is his course Top Student
Heard the emcee recite his success for 5 minutes on stage
Krissy (from 4e7) in TP I think is the Top Grad for Tourism?
And Ling Wei is the Bronze Medallist in the same course too
(That's what I think lah - No confirmed intel sources)

And of course in NP
We got Han Kee who is the Top Grad for BMS
And not forgetting......
*cups hand behind my ears*

ME!
Silver Grad leh!
Buay pai right?

Somemore our gang all did well with creditable results
JJ got NUS entrance for Chem Engine
Cy got her NTU accountancy place
Both are hard-earned places in the local uni prospect
And Kobe never knew what school was and still
was the Chess Club captain with decent results
And there are the few lost sheep out there lah
But since they are lost, you cant really find them also
=/

擦肩而过
We have reached that stage already
